Temporary Electric Service Poles

Effective January 1, 2020, Jackson Energy Authority will no longer provide or install temporary electrical service poles for customers.

• There will be a 12-month sunset date on any Jackson Energy Authority-installed temporary poles and service equipment still outstanding as of January 1, 2020. The poles will be removed by Jackson Energy Authority upon customer-requested disconnect or by December 31, 2020 at the latest. In addition, no Jackson Energy Authority-installed temporary poles will be relocated after January 1, 2020
• All contractor/electrician-installed temporary services must meet the same Jackson Energy Authority requirements as a new electric service
