If you’ve ever noticed a Jackson Energy Authority serviceman at a fire hydrant that’s gushing water and it’s not an emergency, there’s good reason. Despite our continued efforts of water conservation, periodic flushing of fire hydrants around the city is necessary to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our water.
