Pipeline Markers

The natural gas pipeline infrastructure transports natural gas through a 2.5 million mile underground pipeline system, including 2.2 million miles of local utility distribution pipelines and 300,000 miles of transmission pipelines that stretch across the country. Pipeline markers are indicators used to give visible warning that an underground natural gas pipeline is nearby. They are located throughout our community especially at road crossings, fence lines, street intersections, creeks, railroads and rural areas.
