You have a choice of several convenient payment options:

  • Visit JEA customer locations: 119 East College Street (downtown), or 2030 Pleasant Plains Extended (in The Columns area).

  • Mail: Use the envelope enclosed with your bill to mail your payment.

  • Bank Draft (Automatic Payment Plan): Your bank can deduct the amount of your monthly utility bill from your checking account.

  • Online Payment: You can pay online with a Discover, MasterCard, or Visa credit card. Also, we accept payment from a checking or savings account.

  • JEA Drop Boxes: After hours, you can put your bill with payment in the drop boxes at our offices at 119 E. College St. and at 2030 Pleasant Plains Extended.

  • Banks: You can pay your bill at the following banks if you pay before the due date: 1st State Bank, BancorpSouth, Bank of Jackson, Bank of Milan, FirstBank, First South Bank, First Tennessee Bank, Medina Banking Co., Regions, and the Regions/Three-Way Branch. Also, you can pay at Resource Federal Credit Union.

  • Payment Kiosks: Pay your bill using our payment kiosk located at El Mezcal Grocery at 621 Old Hickory Blvd.


Other Payment Options:

  • Budget Billing: This option allows you to pay the same amount each month, making your utility costs easier to budget throughout the year. We estimate your monthly utility bill based on the average amount you used in the previous year. Sign up time for Budget Billing is March thru August, call for more details.

  • ADD Program: You may be eligible for our ADD program if you are retired or living on a fixed income. We can delay the bill's due date until after your monthly retirement or government check arrives.

  • Third Party Notification: You can be notified if a friend or family member living at another location has a utility bill past due.

  • Project Help: Project Help, administered by Area Relief Ministries, helps low-income people pay their utility bills. Our customers fund it through voluntary donations added to their monthly utility bill.
