Energy Right, could be right for you.

The energy right program could be just what you
need if you're in the market for:
1) Building a new home.
2) Buying a new manufactured home.
3) Replacing your current heating/cooling system.
1. New homes
New all-electric homes built to energy right® standards are designed
to save you money on your utility bill. They feature electric heat pumps
and water heaters, along with high energy-efficient standards for such
things as insulation, windows and weather-stripping. If you are the builder,
you will receive cash incentives for participating in the program to offset
any extra cost for building to energy right standards. For every energy
right home you build, we'll give you an incentive worth $40 per 100 square
feet. For the typical, 2,000-square-foot home, that would mean an $800
incentive. Other features may make you eligible for additional incentive
payments.
2. New manufactured homes
New manufactured homes built to energy right standards also feature an
electric heat pump and an electric water heater. They also meet specific
guidelines for insulation, windows and other energy-saving measures.
3. New heating/cooling
system.
You may be eligible for low-interest financing if you replace your heating/cooling
system with either a standard high-efficiency heat pump or a dual-fuel
heat pump, which uses natural gas for heating and electricity for cooling.
The loan for up to 10 years will be included on your monthly
utility bill. You'll also receive a list of Quality Network Contractors
whose members sell and install heat pumps.
