your bill Your utility bill is based on the amount of utilities that you use. Your bill will reflect this usage, how much you owe for each utility, your total owed by the due date and the amount owed if you pay after this date. Information on your bill will help you track your utility usage over time. You can compare your current use with the amount you used a month ago and a year ago. Other charges "City garbage collection," is your charge from the City of Jackson for picking up your garbage. As a convenience to City residents, Jackson Energy Authority acts as a billing and collection agent for the City garbage service. Call the City Sanitation Department at 425-8545 or the City Hotline at 425-CITY if you have questions about garbage service. You also may be billed for merchandise or other services from JEA.
