ProGas, Jackson Energy Authority's propane service

To better serve those customers not on our natural gas lines, Jackson Energy Authority started a new operating group, ProGas, in 1997 to supply propane. Within two years, we had nearly 2,500 customers.

ProGas offers customers metered propane at a yearly flat rate, bulk service at market rate, easy installation and JEA's quality customer service.

Metered service allows you to pay for propane on your monthly utility bill as you use the propane. Metered customers also receive free installation and set up, along with full customer service, including 24-hour emergency service, at no extra charge. The flat rate is set from Sept. 1 through Aug. 31 each year.

Bulk rate customers must pay for gas at the time of delivery and buy a minimum of 150 gallons. Bulk rate price does not include our free services.
