Natural Gas Rates

The following adjustments shall apply to natural gas rate schedules dated December 1, 2006.

These rates affect 28,901 gas consumers of JEA effective December 1, 2006.

These schedules are available to residential customers for domestic use in individual dwelling units. Private dwellings in which space is occasionally used for the conduct of business by a person residing therein will be served under this rate schedule. Where a portion of the dwelling is used regularly for the conduct of business, the gas consumed in that portion so used will be separately metered and billed under another appropriate gas rate. If separate piping, which permits separate metering is not provided by the customer, the entire premises shall be classified as non-residential and billed accordingly. The Residential Schedule shall not apply to service to multiple dwelling units or to institutions such as clubs, fraternities, orphanages, or homes; recognized rooming or boarding houses; the space in an apartment or other residential building primarily devoted to use as an office or studio for professional or other gainful purposes.

Residential R-1: For residential customers within the Jackson City limits. Customer charge is $6.00 per meter. Monthly rates are given per Ccf or 100 cubic feet.

Residential R-2: For residential customers who use natural gas for both cooling and heating the same space with permanently installed equipment. Customer charge is $6.00 per meter. Monthly rates are given per Ccf or 100 cubic feet.

Residential RO-1: For residential customers who live outside the Jackson City limits. Customer charge is $6.25 per meter. Monthly rates are given per Ccf or 100 cubic feet.
