Inside City Limits
Customer Charge: $12.34 a month.

Wastewater Charge, per month:
First 500,000 gallons: $0.371 per 100 gallons
Next 500,000 gallons: $0.336 per 100 gallons
Excess over 1,000,000 gallons: $0.232 per 100 gallons

Surcharge, per pound:
Biochemical Oxygen Demand
(CBOD) over 450 mg/l: $0.120
Suspended Solids (SS) over 500 mg/1: $0.095
Fats, Oils, Grease over 100 mg/l: $0.095

Outside City Limits
Customer Charge: $15.43 a month.

Wastewater Charge, per month:
First 500,000 gallons: $0.463 per 100 gallons
Next 500,000 gallons: $0.419 per 100 gallons
Excess over 1,000,000 gallons: $0.293 per 100 gallons

Surcharge, per pound:

Suspended Solids (SS) over 500 mg/1: $0.120

Wastewater Installation Fees

Impact charge: The development charge for your impact on Jackson Energy Authority's wastewater system is $600 an acre, $6 a frontage foot, or $100 a lot, whichever is greater. (It is $10 a frontage foot if mains are needed on both sides of the road to serve the properties.)

Extension fee: You will be assessed one half of the total cost to extend the sewer main to and across your property.

Connection costs: You also will be assessed the cost of connecting the service line from the Jackson Energy Authority's main to your property line. The cost ranges from $500 to $1,300 depending on several factors, including the depth of the line and whether JEA must cut into a street.
