Dance Party Aires Live On Television And The Web

For Immediate Release --- Church Street in Downtown Jackson is this place to be this Friday night at 8 for a LIVE Dance Party. EPlus Broadband and EPlusTV Channel 6 plan to simulcast this International Rockabilly Hall of Fame DANCE PARTY LIVE on television and on the Internet.

"This is our first step to not just do television FOR Jackson, but also TV FROM Jackson," said Steve Bowers, Jackson Energy Authority's Television and Media Manager for EPlus TV Channel 6.

Event sponsors feel this will be a great event for Jackson and it's also a FIRST for Downtown Jackson, The International Rockabilly Hall of Fame (IRHOF) and EPlus Broadband in the realm of TV and web simulcasts.

The DANCE PARTY is open to everyone and can also be viewed locally on EPlusTV Channel 6 or worldwide at www.EPlusTV6.com/rockabilly or www.EPlusTV6.com/streetdance .

"If you have friends or family elsewhere in the country or overseas with the military, tell them they can see their hometown on the Internet, Friday May 20th", Bowers explained.

• The downtown art galleries will be open for viewing
• Catfish cookers will be set up on Church Street
• Music for this 50s style dance party will be provided by the Godfather of Sax, MR. Ace Cannon and The Ace Cannon Band
• A DANCE CONTEST is planned, so contestants are asked to dress in their best 50s attire.
• Wink Martindale's pictures with Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and other 1950s superstars at his original dance party will be displayed in the Hall of Fame Museum.
• Steve Bowers, JEA Television Manager and Morning Show host on 101.5FM, is the host for the event
