EPLUS RELEASES INTERNET, TELEPHONE RATES AND SPECIAL PACKAGES Press Release: March 31st, 2004 With high anticipation of the rollout of EPlus Broadband’s fiber optic services, Jackson Energy Authority has released their competitive Internet and telephone rates as well as special packages for customers on all three EPlus services of cable, Internet, and telephone. Under EPlus’ Internet Services, no modems are required and customers will enjoy super high speed and quality with NO DROPPED CONNECTIONS GUARANTEED! There are three services levels provided (Basic, Intermediate, and Premium) with prices and speeds for every budget. All customers will benefit from EPlus’ telephone services as well. Kim Kersey, JEA’s Senior Vice President of Telecommunications, says that with the changeover to telephone services, customers will be able to keep their existing phone numbers allowing for a smooth, easy, and seamless transition from their current provider. Like the Internet services, the telephone division of EPlus also has three levels. The first is Basic Telephone Package. For $15.95 a month customers will have local service with Touchtone plus Call Waiting, Call Return and a $.07 long distance rate. The Standard Package will include all the basic services plus a local area-wide service within a 40-mile radius, Call ID, Three-Way Calling, Call Forward, Call Return, and a $.06 long distance rate. The final package called Premium is $44.95 a month and includes all Basic and Standard features plus local calling within the 731/901 area codes, Call Pick-up, Repeat Dialing, Ringmaster, Call Block, Speed Dialing, Voicemail, Web-based telephone management, and a $.05 long distance rate. Aeneas Internet Services is currently the only provider for EPlus’ Internet and cable services. However other providers will join EPlus soon for more choices for customers. Those customers who sign up for all three EPlus services of cable, Internet, and telephone will see even more discounts with the extremely affordable Triple Packages. These three packages (Standard, Preferred, and Ultimate Triple Packs) are built for every customer on any budget. JEA officials say they want to make sure their customers received the extra benefits and conveniences for having all services thru JEA – water, wastewater, gas, electricity, cable, Internet, telephone. Under the Standard Triple Play Package, customers will receive standard cable of 80 analog channels, basic internet, and basic telephone services for only $74.95 a month saving nearly $5.00 a month on already low prices. The next level is Preferred Triple Pack which includes 150 analog and digital channels, intermediate internet, and standard telephone for $99.95 a month saving nearly $10.00 a month. Finally there is the Ultimate Triple Pack of digital cable with one premium channel, premium high speed internet, and premium telephone for $154.95 a month saving almost $15.00 a month.
