JACKSON ENERGY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES TELECOM NAME

Jackson Energy Authority has officially released the name and logo of its new telecommunications network as E Plus Broadband which will be the most advanced telecommunications network in the nation.

When choosing the name, “broadband” was the leading choice. It describes the future of digital communications. Company officials further stated that it was important to keep an element that was widely recognized of the current JEA logo, which is the white “E” encased in a blue box, in the new design.

“The E represents everything customers expect from JEA – safe, reliable utilities, backed by highly-trained employees who are dedicated to delivering the very best service possible,” stated Kim Kersey, Senior Vice-President of Telecommunications at Jackson Energy Authority.

The second part of the logo is a “+” (plus) symbol which represents the positive new choices, value and convenience JEA can now offer customers through E Plus Broadband services.

JEA made this commitment to supply cutting-edge telecommunications services years ago, Kersey states, and has already begun construction of Jackson’s all-fiber network, which will provide cable television, local and long-distance phone services, and Internet at the fastest speeds available.
