JEA Opens New Customer Center.

On November 27th, Jackson Energy Authority will open doors to their new Customer Center on 2030 Pleasant Plains Road Extended in North Jackson.

Charlie Crockarell, overseer of the project at JEA says, “The Customer Center is located in the fastest growing area of the city for customer convenience. Whether it’s service initiation, account inquiry, bill payment or shopping our products or services, this is designed as a full-service center.”

Customers will also experience the following features: Drive-thru area, Display of JEA gas grills and lights, EPlusTV 6 production area for television shows, Kiosk center for customer payments and EPlus Broadband Internet surfing, and inside support with cashiers and customer service reps. “One unique feature is the TV6 production area. This open-air studio will provide a second location for our television operation with a LIVE background,” Crockarell adds.

The Customer Center will replace The Connection, JEA’s center located in the Old Hickory Mall. It opened in February of 1996 and the last day of business is set for November 18, 2006.

Crockarell added, “We want to recognize TLM Associates who provided the design and construction management and Cox Construction who completed this facility on time and under budget.”
