EMPLOYEES OF JEA RAISE MONEY FOR CANCER SOCIETY

The Relay for Life Team at Jackson Energy Authority [JEA] proudly gave the American Cancer Society $7,220.00 which is a 61% increase over the last year's total.

"We pushed really hard," said Janeil Day, JEA Relay for Life Team Captain.

From a baby photo contest, selling of barbecue shoulders and Valentine's Day gifts, to supervisor's luncheons, penny drives, and cookbooks, the team worked hard to raise the money for the annual event.

We have quite a few employees have been touched by cancer is some form so we are all passionate about this, Day added.
