The gift cards act like regular, pre-paid debit cards. Once you determine a dollar amount to load onto the card, the bearer of the card can use it to pay toward a utility bill. The credit card-sized gift card is swiped through a credit card machine and is even reloadable.

"We wanted to give customers another option when paying their utility bill or to help others pay their utility bill," says Kyle Spurgeon, vice president of Customer Service. The cards are available during normal business hours at Customer Service in our downtown location and will be available later this month at the new Customer Service Center on Pleasant Plains Extended. "Churches and other organizations can hand out pre-loaded cards to people in need," Spurgeon says. "The cards also will make great gifts.
